The program is planned to be conducted for undergraduate and post graduate students of Ayurveda colleges in national level,who have excellent academic credentials including extracurricular activities. The head of the institutions are requested to preferably promote final year or internship students from undergraduate level or post graduate students for the competition. Graduate or post graduate students should not be completing their course before December 2017
The competition is designed in three phases.
· First phase: College level
· Second Phase: Zonal level –3 Zones in various parts of the country
· Third Phase: The Grand Finale at Kottakkal, Kerala

Method of selection:
The head of the institutions all nominate two students from either PG and/ or UG with outstanding track record to register for the competition at our website.Candidates are selected using a scoring system where the total mark is 100 in which 50 marks are for their academic qualifications and 50 marks for the online examination. The academic credentials are assessed based on the following split up.
Examination marks 20 %
Extracurricular Arts 10 %
Extracurricular –Sports 10%
Publications & Paper presentations 10 %
A detailed bio-data of the candidate, duly filled and certified by the head of the institution is to be forwarded for final scrutiny by the judging panel. The format of the bio-data will be available for download in our website.
Once registered, they have to login for an online examination to be conducted at their own colleges0.-087The format of the examination is multiple choice questions (MCQ) of 50 marks, with duration of 50 minutes. The questions will be based on Ayurveda and its applications along with those directed to assess the general knowledge and aptitude of the candidates. Ten candidates will be selected from each zone for the respective zonal level scrutiny, based on their MCQ marks and academic credentials as decided by the jury.
Phase –II –Zonal level
Through the phase I selection process, ten students will be selected to the zonal level competition. This will be a one day program in which the aspirants will be assessed on various aspects like their knowledge in the subject, presentation skills and aptitude. To and fro TA (traveling allowance) will be provided for the candidates to the Zonal centre; no DA will be granted. Two candidates will be selected from each zone to attend the Grand finale to be conducted at VaidyaratnamPSVarier Ayurveda College, Kottakkal.

Grand finale will be conducted as a part of final event of the centenary celebrations - Satapatham 2017at the VaidyaratnamPSVarier Ayurveda college campus. The 6 selected candidates from zonal level will be treated as our guest with to and fro TA and accommodation.
